Where does the word trauma come from and what does it mean?
The word "trauma" comes from Greek and generally means injury, without specifying what caused it.
A heavy one mental injury
In psychology, however, it is referred to as emotional, mental or psychotrauma.
At one Psychotrauma
our brain is overwhelmed.
The experiences and sensations cannot be processed normally, but are stored or stored in our brain in a disordered and therefore unprocessed manner.
What are they like? Symptoms
of psychological trauma?
A Psychotrauma
is often not immediately recognized by those affected because the symptoms and effects are very different.
Typical Symptoms
for psychological trauma
a particular irritability,
little patience for everyday things,
sudden anger and aggression, severe sadness, insomnia or difficulty falling asleep.
Startliness and sudden tremors often occur in the presence of harmless stimuli.
Stays one Psychotrauma
If left unprocessed, severe emotional pain often occurs and those affected withdraw from their environment, no longer take part in social life or avoid everything that has even the slightest connection to the original situation.
How do I work with you?-
First, I will discuss your particular history of suffering with you and take a detailed anamnesis.
In a protected and safe environment, I will introduce you to the partially buried and unconscious experiences of your psychotrauma.
Often around 5-10% of the intensity of your experience and your feelings is enough.
Using various methods from the areas of trauma therapy, I will now help you to process these experiences.
