How does an EMDR session work?
First, I will discuss your particular story of suffering with you in detail.
With the help of light hypnosis, we will then search for or create a positive and safe place in your memory. So you can mentally go to this place at any time.
In the next phase, I will also help you to remember the specific situation of your psychotrauma using light hypnosis. Here you will be able to identify and possibly evaluate the negative thought or feeling.
Only 5-10% of the feelings and sensations at the time are sufficient.
As soon as you dock on the negative thoughts and negative feelings from back then, I will ask you to open your eyes and follow my hand movements while keeping your head still.
This allows a reprocessing process to be activated.
You may experience this with subsequent tears, sweating, trembling, or a lessening of the feeling of pressure or pain in your body.
Post-processing, e.g. B. in your dreams can be done. This post-processing can be relevant and useful for the course of further sessions.
